Mi chael Doyle
was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1957 to Deaf parents. His parents
were both graduates of Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, Michigan.
Sign language (ASL) was his first language.
Being CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) Michael has exercised his birthright
interpreting for the Deaf community beginning with his parents and
continuing to this day. Michael has spent his lifetime within the
Deaf culture and community.
Michael has experience as a freelance interpreter having traveled
coast to coast and currently applies his trade in the video relay
service industry as a videointerpreter (VI).In addition to this,
Doyle has served over 4 years as an educational interpreter. As
an educational interpreter, Michael has served Deaf youth from lower
elementary to secondary levels of learning,
He has also interpreted a large scope of Deaf activities; domestic,
educational, professional and social.Within that framework, he has
encountered a wide variety of everyday needs.
Michael's overall expertise in the interpreting field has provided
a unique blend of service that has created a special approach in
accomodating the needs of the Deaf and staying in sync with the
everchanging technology and interpreting profession.
